Australian rising indie pop singer-songwriter Woodes has shared video to her new single from Woodes EP. “Rise” is astonishing visual which pays tribute to nature and magical spirits.

On October 28th Woodes a.k.a songstress Elle Graham released awaited debut self-titled EP with singles like “Daggers & Knives” and “The Thawn”. Lastest single from mini album is “Rise” which received nature-inspired video. Clip was shot on location in New South Wales Blue Mountains and South Coast, incorporating many different elements into the bewitching clip, like fire, water and earth. The clip was directed by Laura Nagy (singer known as Vera Blue).

Woodes explains: “For this song when I wrote it I saw fire… cliffs… and smoke… The character that formed in my head was strong and Laura Nagy incorporated a range of elements in her design. The rough concept of the film clip is to have earth, wind, fire, void and water all in one clip & for Woodes to come from the ocean. The majority of the film crew that brought “Rise” together were women. I’ve never been on a set where it was like that, usually it’s quite the reverse. It was beautiful to bring the vision to life surrounded by female energy.”

“Rise” was co-produced by Elle Graham and her friend Simon Lam (half of duo Kllo) and included some of young Australian artists like Alex Lahey, LANKS, Lupa J, Nirrimi, Abraham Tilbury, Edward Vanzet, Golden Vessel, Tommy Wilson, Juice Webster, Uncle Bobby, Jaysways and Batts as choir for the backing vocals.
